Happens at nonprofits, tooβ€”organize a union? Gone. Managers mismanage funds or rely too heavily on a single donor to keep the doors open and suddenly can’t support the skeleton staff they have? Gone.

It’s all the same. You can be the best reporter on staff and it won’t matter bc $$ is king, always

It’s not ever about the numbersβ€”you can bring insane audience engagement, views, eyeballs to your verticals, shape the conversation in wonderful ways, win awards and on and on

And they still will nuke your job and your entire desk in the name of capital consolidation and kissing the fucking ring

This has been one of my criticisms of my history education in grade school. We never hear the stories of the working class, only the wealthy and powerful. Even an uneventful story about someone going to work and having to come home late would be a fascinating story just for the perspective.

It’s truly so hard to find places to write about history that aren’t academic journals or like… I don’t even know man

My first pieces were for Teen Vogue and they’re still some of my favorites. Very few publications want to be churning out good history, and we’ve lost one of them.

It’s truly scary how few mainstream publications are willing to publish working class voices and perspectives (let alone leftist ones), and every one we lose is yet another blow to the fragile hope for a better world

CBS can redeem itself if they boot out Bari Weis and replace here with Elaine Welteroth. Oh well, I can dream!

Ex-Teen Vogue editor Elaine Welteroth: β€˜The headlines implied I was a token black hire’ Welteroth was just 29 when Anna Wintour made her editor-in-chief. Months later, the magazine shut down. What did she do next?

Elaine Welteroth, former editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue and youngest editor of CondΓ© Nast ever, and the 2nd African American to hold this position, changed Teen Vogue to be more politically conscious.

"There are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue."

Damn, what a coincidence. All these news orgs keep laying off the same types of people while a bilious, rapey, leather-faced buffoon provides them cover and shakes them down for money to build a library named for a man who does not read.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

CBS is on its way to becoming a state propaganda outlet anyway. Fired Teen Vogue reporters maybe should get together with these terminated CBS climate journalists & form their own hard-hitting independent investigative channel? If they can find a Democratic leaning billionaire investor!

Teen Vogue's political reporting let teens see how their lives were being shaped by politics. Considering the emphasis by this government on denying young women reproductive health care, this is a terrible move.

Teen Vogue has had some amazing articles about migrant and undocumented workers as well. Really well written. This is a true shame.

CondΓ© Nast has turned into Commie Nast β€” publishing tributes to far-left pols and DSA propaganda Once the arbiter of an aspirational high flying lifestyle, CondΓ© Nast magazines are increasingly fawning over radical lefties, progressive pols and the DSA’s favorite topics.

And look at the Teen Vogue hit piece published four weeks before… coincidence? nypost.com/2025/10/09/o...
