On July 11, 1997, the first Neanderthal DNA sequence was published. The sequence suggested that Neanderthals did not interbreed with modern humans (a finding later overturned). The DNA was retrieved from the original Neanderthal specimen, discovered in 1856. 🧪🏺

Zwei goldene Münzen: ein liegt auf der Vorderseite, die andere auf ser Rückseite. Deutlich zu erkennen ist die leichte gewölbtee Form - wie bei sehr flachen Schüsselchen

Besuch bei der Kollegin im Schaudepot Wangen und siehe da: zwei keltische Regenbogenschüsselchen! Der heutige Name leitet sich von der Form und der Art ihrer Auffindung ab: Sie wurden oft nach Regen auf Feldern entdeckt, was zu der Annahme führte, die Schüsselchen seien aus Regenbogen gefallen.

The unique Trichtingen torc consists of an iron core with a silver mantel. It’s too large and too heavy for human use (6.7kg), it was rather worn by a wooden cult image.
