SwanNek are a boundary-pushing contemporary jazz collective from Newcastle, crafting music that celebrates the people & places closest to their hearts. They draw deeply on their own experiences, weaving personal stories into their sound: reflecting the diverse musical identity of their hometown.

Inspired by his mixed heritage background, Rory uses the sensitivity of acoustic instruments combined with infectious rhythms to create heavily layered, atmospheric environments for his music.

Over the coming weeks we'll be highlighting our latest roster of Northern Line artists for 2026, who'll perform as part of a Northern Line Showcase at manchester jazz festival on Sunday 17 May. Kicking off the line-up is Ghanaian-English guitarist, composer and producer Rory A. Green.

On Sun 1 March, Stockport Jazz welcomes The Max Rosen trio featuring special guest Maria Sanderson to the Moor Club.
