03.03.2025 13:03 — 👍 1453 🔁 177 💬 42 📌 0Week 6 (oops missed a few lol):
Average weight: 194.1 (-3.6)
Average cal/day: around 1700
Average steps: 13,051
I took a week-ish break from the cut earlier this month, hence the slower loss. Not quite the progress I was hoping for, but as I remind myself daily: it's a marathon, not a sprint.
Week 3:
Average weight: 197.4 lbs (-2.5)
Average cal/day: 1871
Average steps: 14,880
I finally started lowering my caffeine intake, and I think this explains my improved sleep. I also had 2 days I went over my calories pretty bad, so I'll have to be extra good this coming week

Will this be our legacy? Cranking our hogs while the world burns down around us? Cranking our hogs until all is reduced to ash, including the very hogs we are cranking? Can we not aspire to greater than this, friends, to something greater than the cranking of our smoldering hogs?

Here is an embarrassing mugshot of the culprit
Week 2:
Average weight: 199.9 lbs (-1.4)
Average cal/day: 1690
Average steps: 12,254
Sleep is a little better, and I think I've found a better balance with my calories. Caffeine is still a little high. I did not hit my weekly weight loss goal, but my progress appears to be picking up again🤞

Areas I'd like to improve: I want to start getting more sleep, better quality sleep, and cut back on caffeine. I also want more consistency with my calorie intake
Every comment section looks like this (this is from a vid of an 18 year old squatting 600 lbs). Users laugh about how brutal the comments are, but I feel like broiling in this much negativity all the time has to permanently alter your brain chemistry

On top of the fact that it's less funny, more racist, and owned by Meta, I just can't stand the negativity.
Thanks so much!

I don't really like posting pictures of myself, but with 2024 ending, I was proud looking back on the changes I made. There's about a 60lb difference between these two pictures.
Still more work to do in 2025, but cheers to always moving forward. Happy new year!

In summary, AI is infiltrating everything and blurring the lines between what is real and what is fake.
AI art is theft. If you have been listening to Christmas playlists, you too could be listening to these thieves, so be sure to check.
God, I hate 2024. AI was supposed to be cool...

I found 4 other bands which appear to be from the same person/group that made these ones: "Dean Snowfield", "Sleighbelle", "Snowdrift Sleighs", and "Frosty Nights". I have no doubt there are more, these were just the ones that I found. [8/9]
19.12.2024 23:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I then gave a closer listen to some of their songs and I was floored: I've had this music playing on speakers in the background all month and I never realized they were AI Christmas song covers using voice models of pop stars like Bieber and Ariana Grande. open.spotify.com/track/1dgEDL...
[7/9]
They all had Christmas-y names, only a few songs posted with millions of plays, and disturbingly similar descriptions. The first band was the "North Star Notesmiths", here are two more: "Daniel & the Holly-Jollies" and "The Humbugs" [6/9]
19.12.2024 23:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I recalled other bands with Christmas themed names on that playlist I had been listening to (a playlist with over 7 million saves). I decided to check some of them out, and I was shocked: they were nearly identical to the first band. [5/9]
19.12.2024 23:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I decided to read their description, and it wasn't what I expected. Being a band solely dedicated to Christmas music, their description seemed uncharacteristically corporate and soulless (like their song covers, actually) [4/9]
19.12.2024 23:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I got curious and went to the artist's page: millions of plays on their top songs - they made popular Christmas covers. [3/9]
19.12.2024 23:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I was listening to a Christmas playlist on Spotify while I was working when I briefly looked over and caught a glimpse of the album cover for the song playing... and I did a double-take. It seemed normal without looking too closely, but I stared for a while and I saw it: this is clearly AI art [2/9]
19.12.2024 23:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I have weighed in in the same weight range every morning the last couple weeks (203.2-205.4). I know that scale weight is not the only thing that matters, but how long should I see no weight changes before I switch up my strategy?
17.12.2024 14:22 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I keep telling myself "trust the process" with my current diet because I am not seeing the changes I want or expect on the scale.
