first of all the crystal braves wouldn't be able to manhandle her. she may have even been able to smell the tainted wine. would raubhan never lose his arm? would heavensward never happen? what would ishgard even think about her anyway?

buka being a Normal Ass Dude makes him pretty cannon-compliant so it would make sense that he's being used as a hydalin vessel

sid being some wacky unholy creature would make the story go off the rails

the way she carries herself now is basically her living the memories she has of Meddie. part of her loved her, and the other part wanted to be her. her romantic gestures, her strength, and her motherly-ness all stems from Meddie, for the better.

basically take everything shes known and everything shes worked for and throw it in the TRASH!!!!!

her relationship with her family has been broken, and anything having to do with her being royalty just caused her dismay. the only thing she really misses is her ex :[

shes basically a newborn at this stage lmao

she woke up decades later, maybe even in a whole new realm, so the world has changed from what she knew.

her body is foreign, going from a short, scrawny and weak prince to a giant woman.

not to mention her royal status has been completely wiped...

oh my god a good chunk of buka's personality is just quiet love, even platonically. he'll remember things you wanted and leave them on your window sill. he'll protect your keepsakes with his life. he'll mend your clothes and plushies.

giving people sign-language nicknames is also important to him.

buka is 5/10 but theres always a 50/50% chance he's being silly. you can look at him and think he's being stoic and serious but when you turn around hes mocking each one of your movements to a T

sid is like anti-silly. shes -10/10. she's so un-silly that she loops around and becomes silly again

i dont know what she would be in xiv lore. weird aetherite goo? cursed space bubblegum?

i guess i should explain abyss a bit:

shes like. the living space between realms. like whenever you use any teleportation/wormhole/moon gate/ect youre basically using her body like a bridge to go between two places
