Facing the inevitable is an uncomfortable subject, but Sorceror tackles it better than many other films. It succeeds because it doesn't pull punches.

Today I learned about the very different direction taken by the UK Transformers run.

My intro to comics was Marvel's Robocop run, Lara Hama's GI Joe run, and Dwayne McDuffie's Hardware.

Hardware should have already been a movie but that's a longer conversation.

I caught it in the theater earlier this month and I loved it.

Initially skeptical because I'm burnt out on post apocalypses and zombies.

It's surprisingly deep and it made me a bigger fan of Ralph Fiennes.

Tarantino famously hates movies from the 1950s. His argument is tough to punch a hole in. There are a few films with solid commentary, but it could have been much better:
