These AI companies I've either worked for or evaluated spend too much time trying to get the model to be clever and think ahead. If only there were a model that was great at doing exactly what it was prompted to do, and worried less about anticipating what I want next.

As great as @cursor.com.web.brid.gy is, I have to keep retraining it with prompts to prevent Cursor from taking shortcuts as it's burying hardcoded values within my project.

I have no reason ever to use VS Code + Copilot again. Already rendered obsolete.

I think so. Engineering teams have been infiltrated, both officially and unofficially. Educated engineers and architects still need to validate the output. My over 25 years of software engineering experience helped me confirm this combination as valid.

The IDE from @cursor.com.web.brid.gy with Claude 3.7 Sonnet from @anthropic.com is AMAZING. I've tried several IDEs, AI coding assistants, and models, and this combination is far ahead of anything else.
