This is incredibly concerning and frustrating to see as a doctor. I've looked after sick kids with RSV, requiring transfer to Paediatric ICUs. It can be so devastating.
I hope the rest of the world does not follow suit with their guidelines as its truly not evidence-based medicine anymore.
