excerpt from the paper, featuring illustrations, photography, and text. demonstrates the finding that baby chicks will prefer to waddle to a spiky shape if they hear a recording of the word "kiki" and vice versa for a blobby shape and the word "bouba".
screenshot of a tweet by user "umayr" in reply to Science magazine. tweet reads "I think all veretebrates do Fourier analysis in their heads: those sounds are round and spiky in the frequency domain."
study showing baby chickens also do the bouba/kiki thing got posted on twitter and this guy came up with a hypothesis as good as any imo. next step is to find out which electro and minimal techno artists are preferred by our feathered brethren

easier to brush if it doesn't coagulate. though the OP seems to manage just fine for a fountain pen. i would've guessed that clotting would slow down the flow rate enough to get an inconsistent result.

Easiest anticoagulant to acquire is sodium citrate (used in some blood specimen vials). Buy at speciality shops (brewing supplies) or you can make some by mixing citric acid + sodium bicarbonate.

it's pretty hard to get to where you want to be if you are missing the fundamentals with missing needs like safety. it's hard if you don't have the energy to do shit, but if you can get in touch with the right community service they would take on some of that load. you would know how that goes.

if would be difficult for anybody to feel a sense of belonging if they never feel safe. it may be worth broaching the next time you see someone for your mental health. you should have services for people who experienced abuse to access peer support safely and would be sensitive to your circumstance.

i am sure you have a number of existing options out there when it comes to mental health at least, and likely one with no community overlap if you live in a large enough city. it sucks that this worry is a barrier for you because the whole point of it is to have open places that feel safe for all

it is a basic need, but also takes quite an investment of your own energy to manage it. don't discount treating a peer support group as a resource that you can rely on during harder times. just as a means of getting out to chat without feeling self-conscious about holding up your end of things.

nah i get it. but you do develop a tough skin to be able to hunker down and conserve yourself for the periods of remission. twenty years is impressive, so you must have figured something out along the way. i am slowly accepting that it will always come and go and to better roll with it.

better than being in hell i'd imagine. i had persistent depression for much of my teens and twenties and it can be really stubborn. it is a long term grind. it feels very unrewarding to put a lot of effort in to just stay afloat, but we all grow and develop given time. it is unavoidable.

there are many people out there who have gone through the same thing and can seperate the person from their condition. people reach out because they understand that recovery is the norm, especially with support. you are making a visible effort to endure and we can all see hope in it.

the ether was theorised as an all-pervading substance by necessity. a stone basement or faraday cage can't affect ether measurements without affecting the electro-magnetic forces themselves. we have since built large optical interferometer telescopes and would have rediscovered the ether by now.

We see two house sparrows drinking out of a puddle. The male says to the female: "Good puddle!" to which she replies "I love you but you have low standards". Pigeons arrive in the background, the female says "Ope! Here comes the herd" There is a long horizontal frame of the two sparrows in the midst of a bunch of pigeons cooing around them. The male then says "gentle giants" the female agrees "mhm" and then says "coo" and the male responds "haha. coo!"
Coo coo
