It definitely was supposed to be out if my earshot, and they definitely had a tone that tells me they discuss other things this way, so I am not surprised. If anything else is fair game, we tend to be, too.

I hate the reactionary idea that we can just take our identities off and dress for AGAB as much as the next trans woman, but I also enjoy it in a really acerbic way because it is comically refuted by showing we are still visibly trans in AGAB garb.

I strongly suspect that they really could not pin down anything but my voice, but they combined that with a feminine body to get "men in women's clothes" despite actually wearing men's clothes today (except the belt)

I have just seen one too many discussions irl at this point where the only thing a trans leader knows to say is pronouns should be respected, and like I cannot tell you how little that impacts my life versus other needs

Like I think queer people with any sense know they do not fit in to heteronormative society, and double for trans people and triple for trans women, and they have to some degree be countercultural to have any self respect, but the inverse is not true

I feel like I'm getting to the point finally where my patience is wearing thin with the general conflation of "queer identity" with being counterculture, not because I am here to disavow any person, but I have seen one too many convo about the needs of queer people led by people without those needs
