question for the room: how did you type on the internet in 2008/2009? were you a proper caser? did you forgo grammar? did you have a typing quirk?

I honestly don't think I did but I think I'm in the minority. I think I tried to write regular sentences for the most part with proper casing. I didn't even lol for a long time. Just haha. It's kind of hard to remember.

I honestly figured it was going to be implanted tech that was going to leave me behind. I didn't anticipate that everyone I knew would clamour to boil the oceans so we could all spend our time proofreading generated code all day.

Working in tech and having what feels like every single one of my coworkers using AI makes me feel like I'm losing my mind. I don't want to use AI IDEs and I don't want to use chat GPT to summarize my notes. I don't fucking get it.

No one is perfect. No one can pass all the purity testing.
We have to agree on some basic goals and move forward with the best we have. 7/

Why is Medicaid, Social Security, and cancer research at risk? Why did they fire the people that tell us when hurricanes are coming, but they're going to find money give Starlink a government contract? How will this affect them tomorrow? 6/

Everyone knows someone on Medicaid, on CHIP, who has survived or lost someone to cancer.
Why are they cutting funding to cancer research? Why are our parents and grandparents at risk? Why does the burden of social security fall on us and not the billionaires? 5/

The Dems do not have the messaging and propaganda machine the right has.
It is on us to break down the effects of the chaos in simple digestible terms and get it in front of those in our communities.
I don't think this is how it *should* be but it is. 4/

If we can organize an effort to get republican voters in Republican held districts to call their reps and get them scared for reelection, that's better than continuing to call Dems who are already voting the way they should. 3/

The Oval Office is bullying our congresspeople with threats of bankrolling opponents to primary them.
All our reps need to be more scared of us than they are of them. It needs to be, I MIGHT lose my primary but if I don't vote for my constituents I WILL lose my seat. 2/
