I think you did a good job! Not that I hate their official design but I think their proportions are a bit awkward in places. This feels more like a real creature.

If I bother getting these games (big if because I really don't want to buy a Switch 2 for just a single game) yeah I'd probably either start with them or the bird which name escapes me currently.

Its pretty cool. I wasn't all that impressed initially until I realize they are probably suppose to be a juvenile leopard gecko then a bunch of design choices (from the markings to the eye shape) made A LOT more sense.

Kinda weird to make a leopard gecko into a water type tbh since they live in arid conditions but who knows maybe it evolves into a water/ground type.

Honestly you're probably right! I mean they don't look much like an adult leopard gecko but they certainly are a close match to a juvenile.

Honestly if this is meant to be a baby chicken I'm 100% more intrigued to see it evolve because I feel the same way. Don't hate Blaziken but this series absolutely could use a chicken Pokemon that's got more actual chicken vibes.
