I messed up on my teaspoon conversion, it is 9 teaspoons of water for a query (OpenAI reported 1/15 of a teaspoon). So equivalent to 0.001875% of a hamburger.

This Chatham House report notes the Indus supplies 80% of Pakistan's irrigated agriculture -- a system already under grave threat due to climate change. Last year, a severe drought hurt several crops in the country's breadbasket, while Pakistanis were still recovering from previous flooding.

2) we gaan onderzoek doen (tja)

I am pretty sure this paper does not exist:

The water unexpectedly released from dams on Trump’s order didn't help farms or L.A. The Trump administration abruptly sent water flowing from two California dams. The action could leave less water in dams for the summer, when farmers typically use it.

Where did that dam water go?

Trump celebrated dumping billions of gallons from two dams in Tulare County, saying it was headed to farmers and Los Angeles. But that's not where it went.

@ianjames.bsky.social reported on where it ended up.

I've been meaning to read this paper on mass extinctions (pubs.aeaweb.org/doi/pdfplus/...), and today, I came across this great write-up about it in VoxDev (voxdev.org/topic/energy...).

It's a great paper. I am glad I found the time to read it.

Below is a short thread.

Right. So there is a range of possible SCC depending on bargaining power, with "polluter pays" and "victim pays" as the extreme outcomes.

This definition has now been puzzling me for a full day. Two clarifying questions (or maybe you can point me to a relevant paper?):

1) This method/definition requires that future generations are at the bargaining table, right?
2) How do you account for the Coasean bargaining surplus?
