I'm sure I can just look it up, but I'll ask here as well, does Rivals have any PvE modes like Overwatch does for events and such? Easily my favorite aspect of Overwatch was that non-PvP portion of it (even if dealing with Other Players is still an aspect of it).

I did stop playing a while ago for a mix of reasons - Blizzard being Blizzard, game feeling less fun - but I did used to enjoy it a lot and am tempted to try it again too. Rivals does look like a lot of fun, also tempting!

TIL they renamed it back to just Overwatch again, I haven't played it in a while I suppose!

Still there, I think they just added a new character too. Worth noting it's now called Overwatch 2, which replaces the original instead of being a proper sequel (they just did a big overhaul and renamed it)

There was a study brought to my attention just recently about how they found using AI actually made coders take *longer* to do the same projects (the coders just thought it had made them faster). Added about 20% to their time estimates.
It's not even good at the thing it's supposed to be good at.

I can certainly relate! I don't like "using up" an idea I wanted to do well. But I think that's also a mentality to try and avoid, the whole "oh I already did that idea, I can't do it again" holds you back from having fun with ideas you still like

Can't get good at something without trying and practicing! You just need to let yourself be okay with making stuff that's not perfect, how else will you learn to do it better if you never do it at all?

Just gonna also echo what someone else said, some of it *is* that "sunk cost" and wanting to know where it goes, that's part of what's kept me going even with themes that weren't my cup of tea ^^ Also wanna add that I really appreciate how you've been great about giving content warnings and such!

It is a bummer that you've been getting negative comments; I do feel like it is in a way that flattery of knowing you created characters/story that others are invested in. But still people need to think before they comment on some things, people forget it's an individual person on the other side.

For what it's worth, I'm another of those who have been reading along with the comic despite it not all being within my comfort zone, and I've still enjoyed it ^^ Not as much as if it was something entirely within my wants, but... if I wanted that, I'd be writing something myself, right?
