LIVE: Sen. Mark Kelly speaks out about Trump and Hegseth's threats YouTube video by MS NOW

This is pure gold. Thank you Senator Mark Kelly for your thoughtful and appropriate responses to the situation. Truly. Best spent hour in politics this year.

I wish they didn’t put these photos on the cover of this video. It’s not like that.

Everybody should take a quick moment to read this short piece by a doctor who remembers what it was like before vaccines virtually wiped out a lot of preventable diseases. I can tell you it's visceral.

Canada loses its official β€˜measles-free’ status – and the US will follow soon, as vaccination rates fall Decreased vaccination rates have led to measles outbreaks in Canada and other countries.

Vaccinate. I do not understand the fear mongering around these medical miracles. The quack that said vaccines cause autism was a charlatan and the paper was retracted. What I do see is a lot of scientific illiteracy. Antivaxxers can hurt a lot of other people.

Reef restoration shouldn’t just be about growing corals - but also bringing reefs to life, new study suggests Most restoration programmes focus their efforts on increasing coral growth, but rarely ask whether the reef is actually functioning as a living ecosystem.

Excellent points here. It is about the bigger system. This is a challenging ($$$, πŸ•°οΈ) but vital component to assessing success of reef restoration efforts, and why partnerships are important. Managers are more likely to have long term monitoring programs.

This is humorous, which is what they appear to be shooting for, albeit funny not funny. This is a false dichotomy. It's a rhetorical device to debate in bad faith. All plastic pollution is harmful to aquatic systems. Straws are low-hanging single use fruit. Changing people's behavior is harder.
