The Next Terrorist Attack And What Comes After (Updated)

Modern tyranny is terror management.
I wrote this essay in April 2025 and updated it in November. I'm posting it again now because my fear of this scenario has continued to grow.

Just naked racism from Farage and the Mail.

Only British and commonwealth citizens are allowed to vote. It's not 'stealing' to legally take part in your own country's elections

The current argument of the British right is that Muslims turned out in "blocs" with "family voting" to cast their ballots for a party led by a gay Jewish man, and this shows that multiculturalism has failed, voting is "sectarian" and we are in a crisis.

Hmmmmmm.

"The Labour Party under Starmer

tactical advantage. It will be a party
which gives no one a reason to vote
for it, and nobody will, in fact, vote

David Graeber made a warning about Keir Starmer in 2020. They did not listen

Thirteen years ago tonight the Cowdenbeath Thistle match was abandoned due to fog. The rest, if you’re a Thistle fan, is history.

Labour’s Send revolution is a high-stakes experiment. It also threatens precious parental rights | John Harris Bridget Phillipson’s 10-year plan is generous in places, but it has its problems. Not least that it could be trashed by a Reform government, says Guardian columnist John Harris

And here it is: the SEND reform plan, and why - for all its good intentions - it threatens a terrifying loss of rights, just when the worst imaginable govt might be newly in power www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Comedy genius Stan Laurel died on this day in 1965.

Ulverston-born, he did a fair bit of his growing up in Glasgow, while his dad managed the old Metropole Theatre, next door to the Scotia Bar.

Stan also made his stage debut in Glasgow, at the Pantopticon Music Hall, on Trongate.

FACT OF THE DAY. 21 February 1946. Aneurin Bevan announced the Labour Government’s proposals for a National Health Service. The service began on 5 July 1948. Its introduction represented one of the greatest social reforms in British History which helped every citizen.

The People's Palace is an important working-class history museum which tells the story of how ordinary people banded together and challenged bosses, landlords and governments to make Glasgow and Scotland a better place to live and work. It's shocking it will now remain closed.

Farage talks about the Second World War quite a lot for someone who would inevitably have spent it interned on the Isle of Man.

The front pages of the Daily Mail, Sun, Independent, Daily Star, Daily Record, Daily Mirror, Times, Daily Express and Daily Telegraph. All show the photo of the pedo Prince looking like he’s seen the devil himself - hiding in the back seat of his car as he’s driven away from the police station yesterday. A truly beautiful collage of consequence.
