I am more committed than ever to fighting medical gaslighting to those who suffer from chronic illness, especially those in marginalized groups. What happened to me and what’s happened to friends should never happen to anyone.

Honestly, yesterday really tired me out in a journey of medical gaslighting that no one should experience. Worse than my SPS one. I was almost committed for an eating disorder I didn’t have and my GI saying I need intense psychiatric intervention when in reality it was stage 2 gastroparesis.

I was about to panic email my letterer all the text was missing when I realized I hit the visibility button instead of the unlock layer button :)

Also had to make multiple corrections to a letterer who knows who they are "Please use a typed font/X (formerly known as twitter) look to this"
And I hated writing that sentence

Well, I almost just got screwed out of returning to work. They found some random MD to write a sentence that’s probably going to cost my insurance $400 or some shit.

Anyways…done spamming for now while I try to ignore the fact that I will continue to lose my eyesight. I now have more information on what the thing in my brain is though.

Yes it’s weird being both super bendy and having your shit get all dislocated thanks to a chronic illness like EDS while also your muscles turn to concrete and you have spasms so bad it’s like out of the exorcists sometimes (SPS). Like tetanus is a good example of a full body spasm.

At least I didn’t have to demonstrate SPS… He woulda had to call 911 lol…I laugh but it’s true. My mom got scared when I was laughing so hard about something yesterday that I had a diaphragm spasm and couldn’t breathe. Forgot about what though...

Plus the photo that was in question for being facetuned was when I was like…27? So like… It’s not like I was THAT old to begin with in the photo :/

It's gratifying when someone thinks you’re 16 when you’re 30 when reddit trolls accuse you of being super face tuned, etc. Yeah, EDS causes dislocations, motility failure, MCAS, POTS, other bad things…but not my fault your butt’s gotta be all wrinkly and mine doesn’t :)

Also, take that reddit trolls who talk about me being super facetuned. I’m getting carded at 30 because (and I asked him to be honest how old he thought I was) someone thought I was 16.

And then explained that while it causes dislocations and stuff, I also don’t get wrinkles.

But my chronic illness ass is kinda….petty… I explained to him that while I have another disease that is terminal (Stiff-Person Syndrome), I have another disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and to gross him out I showed him bending my thumb to my wrist...

And after he finally gave in (found medical proof on my phone) I asked him old I look….
He said I I looked 16. And other customers were like…complimenting each other on how young they look like the lady who was 63 I was like I thought you were late 30’s maybe early 40’s, etc. It was kinda wholesome.

And I’m like…I was here like 30 minutes ago when I bought these, you can check the security footage. And like “How did I get these if I am not of age” (admittedly it was my fault for not bringing my wallet I’ve gone down to that 7-11 a lot and it’s always the same guy)....

In other news, I tried to cash in $43 in lottery winning tickets and for the first time ever it was some other dude. He wanted to card me and I’m like…”I’m 30.” I pull down my mask and other customers are coming to my defense, etc. But it gets more entertaining...

I have another update to post later on TikTok about my neurology appointment today and what to do about my eyes.

One week until brain surgery…
I am scared and the situation with the hospital that was negligent about the brain bleed that led it is getting worse. I am scared for a lot of reasons.
