Closing out my year with a journal editor shocker 🧵

Checking new manuscripts today I reviewed a paper attributing 2 papers to me I did not write. A daft thing for an author to do of course. But intrigued I web searched up one of the titles and that's when it got real weird...

List of recently issued FDA warning letters, all from 12/18/2025. For all of them, the Issuing Office is Center for Devices and Radiological Health and the reason for the issuances are "Failure to Register and List/Misbranded." The offending companies are TG Supply LLC d/b/a TransGuy Supply, ShapeShifter Apparel, LLC, GenderBender LLC, Marli Washington Design, LLC, TomboyX, PBC, FLAVNT Streetwear, LLC, Early to Bed, Inc., TOMSCOUT, For Them, Inc., and Philadelphia 7, Inc d/b/a Passional Boutique. The final few companies issued warnings do not appear because the page only lists 10 entries.

It's not just TomboyX, by the way! Trump's FDA has sent these warning letters to 11 companies that sell Binders.
