Discussions on a new Crimes Against Humanity Treaty give countries an opportunity to recognize gender harms that have been so far invisible or disregarded. This includes the recognition of gender apartheid. If anyone needs an example of what we're talking about, they can just look at Afghanistan.

Every woman in Russia should be ashamed of this step. There is no other country in the world that bans girls from being educated, accessing jobs, from speaking in public, walking without a male guardian, among many horrific acts of segregation and policies of subordination.
