Observing the lives of the women around me is definitely what did it. Seeing how stunted many of the religious women were vs. the women who lived life on their terms was eye opening.

That’s fair. I remember when I was devout, I struggled HEAVILY with my sexual identity simply due to the indoctrination of Christianity. Once I let that go, SO much of that anxiety around it subsided.
They could also be experimenting too 😂
