I think the big thing that these people have in common is that they don’t habitually read anything longer than a grocery store label. I’m serious. Without consuming a regular diet of longer-form reading, we forget how to organize our written thoughts. We can still read, just not write anymore.

As someone who’s a technical writer by trade, who pays attention to what and how they write and has always been a bit flowery with words, I’ve been getting accused of using ChatGPT on an increasing basis and it sucks. :(
