This is the poster for The Boy and the Heron by Studio Ghibli. It features a typical ghibli boy standing on a rock before a pond. He's holding a bow in the foreground. He doesn't have foreheaditis which some beloved Ghibli characters have because he has dark anime hair, but he does look very serious in his grey uniform. Behind him there's a heron with a blue head and white feathers. It's actually apparently a grey heron which is significant in the film. Behind these two is an old man looking a bit wizardy with spiked white hair and a black flowing robe and a moss covered castle. You know by looking at this that there will be oddness, there will be sadness and there will be a coming of age story that makes sense while absolutely making no sense when you break down the component parts. In short, watch this movie. It's one of the better ones, possibly Miyazaki's best.

I would like to propose a new verb, "Ghiblied"

To be ghiblied is to go along for a wild ride, knowing that you may not understand all of what is going on due to reasons, but you will feel full of unnamed good feelings at the end.
