Yesterday, my classic kick wax included a klister cover, and I legit feel like there needs to be some kind of nordic skiing achievement sticker for that.

I caught a glimpse of a rainbow across Cook Inlet during today’s nordic ski, and it was a lovely surprise.

It’s hard to beat synthetic colors on wings for low light conditions. Even white can be tough to spot in a riffle.

I’m a big fan of quiet rivers. Planning a trip to fish some European chalk streams this year.

Most of the streams I fish up here have very high flow rates, so I occasionally fantasize about a place like this where a wade wouldn’t feel like gambling with my life.

That looks really pleasant.

While I applaud NPR for taking a whopping 4 minutes to talk about the woeful state of affairs when it comes to tsunami warning in the US, one could fill a book with all that was left unsaid here.
