A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms is airing 30-40min episodes and people are complaining they’re “too short” and I just can’t comprehend what they want added that would achieve anything outside of padding the run time.

Convinced it all comes from a broader societal problem that we aren’t able to talk about anything in isolation or even solely on its own merits. Everything must be compared.

It leads to us never being able to talk about enjoying something without immediately being expected to give it a ranking.

Like people are convinced they want more and longer episodes and choose to complain about that instead of enjoying what was written and produced.

The term “filler” is the worst thing that ever happened to tv discourse.

This is the trap, the self-made jail: The need that makes me destined to fail. The loneliness makes me come on strong, ensuring any visit won't last too long. A perfect, devastating, curse, that makes everything immeasurably worse.
