25.01.2025 10:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Which means if the upgraded Mogami-class frigate is selected for SEA3000 then there will be the opportunity to match the tradition of the parent Navy (the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force), continue a fine RAN tradition, and rectify the travesty of the ANZAC-class frigate names that they replace.

Interestingly, the Mogami class frigates are names after rivers in Japan. Kym and other media saw the launch (and naming) of the future JS Nagara which is named after the Nagara river in Gifu, famous for cormorant fishing (ι΅ι£Ό or γγγ).
