So this woman and her partner come by, she drops her stuff on my table without even asking, kisses the guy goodbye, then proceeds to sit down at the other armchair and start doing some sort of work that involves continuously talking to her computer. (2/3)

Working in a hotel today, and it's too cold to work outside (plus they're renovating the little tiki huts I usually work in), so I found a nice armchair pair next to a side table in the very large lobby, and have been working there all afternoon. (1/2)

Some of both. Some states don't allow fundraising during the legislative session because it creates the appearance of a quid pro quo. Handing out checks literally on the floor is next level.

I literally just heard about it yesterday, and I like to think I keep up on such things. I know people like to blame the press for not covering things, but I can only imagine how hard it is to try to cover everything these days, especially with the slashed newsrooms.
