Exactly. It's what drew me to DW. It looks like a piece of old junk outside, but it looks like nothing else inside, it's brilliant but unreliable and the pilot doesn't really know how it works. So much better than the sleek shiny tech of other scifi.

Oh yes. The primitive effects just make it scarier.

I like that the Doctor says the TARDIS is like a cat, and it can take time to accept you.
