There are definitely some players who don’t understand why this is any different from any president inviting any winning team to the White House, and it IS a very specific, once-in-a-lifetime thing… but it doesn’t excuse the way it all came together.

Closing ceremonies are that night, the games are basically over. 6 hour time difference. Only so much they can do to accommodate North America (and there’s a chance neither USA or Canada will be in the game, ha). Maybe they could’ve started the tourney a day earlier, but tough with women’s too.

In all seriousness, he’s got more than enough experience to be an assistant at the NHL level and the bare minimum in terms of front office and staff changes the Rangers should make after this disastrous season is firing Quinn and Sacco. Like, this is easy. Plus he’s a USA hockey guy anyway.
