It’s so lame that people get so rabid about edition war bullshit. They act like a new edition comes out and some little goblin comes along and eats all of the old ones. It’s like what do they want? A new edition that’s exactly the same as the old one. What’s the point?

Ah yeah I feel ya. Do you play online at all? I roll physical dice most of the time even when it’s an online game, because I agree it’s definitely more satisfying than a dice roller.

Nothing worse than that word ‘plunk’ sound it makes as it falls from your head straight into the table without moving even a little bit. I have a dice tower that helps a little bit, but it’s for the sure I’m most likely to use a dice roller for.

The glut of d20 shovelware in the early days of the OGL did a lot of damage to its reputation. Not the dice’s fault but it still got linked to it.

I think it just rolls like shit lol.

I think pretty much every other way people have done it is better than the pyramid. But I like how the d12 rolls best for it personally (though I haven’t tried ever option to be fair).

I think the best use of a d12 is to make a d4 that actually rolls well

I'm already sick of "It's all a distraction from Epstein" replies. This regime is killing innocent people because our leaders are all power-hungry tyrants and war profiteers. When you say it's "just a distraction" you minimize the gravity of what's happening and the lives lost.

I like little dog/rat guys. Specifically the kobold from the 2e Monster Manual, drawn by Tony Diterlizzi (imo the best classic DnD illustrator) is the quintessential kobold to me. Dragon are my least favorite type, if I’m being honest, but I’ve kind of accepted that it’s the de facto now.

I remember seeing a bunch of them over the years but kinda of lost track. I’m playing in a CoC 7e now so that’s mostly where my knowledge begins and ends, and even that’s shaky cuz we’re pretty loosey-goosey re: the rules.

I had to google it to make sure it was actually a real game and not me inventing a new one from other properties, so I didn’t even know it was a multiple edition situation.

No, but if it’s like good faith someone trying to be genuinely helpful I try not to let it annoy me TOO much. I know it’s also a bad habit I have, because I like helping people, but I try to be mindful and only do if people are actually asking.
