Puppies are arriving within the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, am I having fun with the container gardening? Yes, yes I am!

Just another day at the pond.

Another day of chaos.

These girls are getting so big! It's not just the dogs who are treat motivated.

Half sisters Pepper (on the right of the first photo) and Trixie (second photo) have 3 and 3.5 weeks left in their pregnancies. We'll have 16-20 puppies touching down before we know it!

Loving that hummingbirds are nesting in our trees by the kennel.

Today, when I looked out to the pond, I saw the two geese with two green heads, so I knew he had found his bachelor buddy.
All I have to do is walk out with Ember to get him to follow us back. I think he was offended that she did not come out to meet him at the pond.

If you look at the very beginning of this video to the right hand side, you will see Mr. Quackers walking toward Ember. He has been taking himself to the pond when I let him out to clean his room and give him more food.

Blended families get interesting.

I think the other drake must have been very confused to watch his new friend run toward his big red furry "love". 🤣 So far, he remains committed to staying at home.

This has become a daily occurrence this week. Tellus even said there is a chance he could fly off with others, which is possible. I looked up to see TWO drakes at the edge of the pond.
Ember was with me and it didn't take long to figure out who was who.

It has been an intense week with my pediatric patients, so I haven't had time to share much. Bear with me, as I catch up with some posts over the next few days.
Meanwhile, I was watering the veggies and flowers yesterday morning, while Mr. Quackers took himself to the pond.

Oh, Ember is a happy girl!

Ember's new charges have arrived. You'll know where to find her.

I missed most of the action, but PokeyPuppy flew out next to Ember and got into the pond. Next to a pair of Canada geese. There was a "discussion" and the recall on both was something else.

With puppies on the horizon, those who know me know how excited we are to do more Pile of Puppies visits this summer. One of the highlights of raising puppies here. 💖

The best good night sound.

Just these two, foraging and roaming under blue skies. With such beautiful weather, this is their daily morning routine, while I water and tend all of the vegetables we have started. Happy Friday, everyone!

Oh boy, do I miss the antics of Miss Ottie. This will be the first time in 13 years of her not helping out with puppies (or more specifically, stealing their toys!)

A break in the weather today meant Ember got to take her ducks out. When I wasn't looking, she took a swim and now is wearing Eau de Pond.

Pepper and Trixie will be having their puppies about a week apart, and Yo will be joining at any time now. I'd say naps are in order starting now.

This will be me most of the spring. Not only will we be attempting to get our ducklings in a row in a couple of weeks, but it truly will be a PuppyPalooza here in June.
