See you tomorrow at 1pm on the Track Hub 2 - Basic science to check how we use #massspecimaging and IMC for metabolic profiling of #liver fibrosis. Special thanks to our collaborators and funders @zoehall-icl.bsky.social

23.04.2025 14:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Using #massspecimaging we show #lipid #metabolism is dysregulated spatially in #liverfibrosis. By integrating MSI and IMC, we linked #sphingolipids with non-parenchymal cells. Targeting sphingolipid metabolic pathway in HSCs and hPCLSs showed anti-fibrotic effect.

We thank all our collaborators and especially all the patients who contributed to the study.
Thank you @zoehall-icl.bsky.social for all the support since day one!
Excited to share our latest study in Metabolism, exploring how dysregulated #sphingolipid #metabolism contributes to #liver #fibrosis using #spatial #lipidomics! A huge thank you to @gruevska.bsky.social and all the collaborators who made this possible!

It's possible to slow or even reverse damage to the liver - the main treatment is eating a healthy diet, being more physically active & (if needed) losing weight.
