I actually read Silence of the Girls on my daughter's recommendation and am now catching up on the actual books before I head back to Women of Troy. Silence of the Girls was ridiculously powerful

So good to have @bishopnorwich.bsky.social with us at St.Peter's this morning for candlemas, communion and confirmations.
Such a joyous occasion shared with so many of our church community
I am finding, now my eldest is doing her GCSEs, that I may not have remembered them all entirely accurately...

Great to have the Dean of Norwich Cathedral (and former Rector of this parish) with us yesterday and to inspire us in our prayer lives.
Now looking forward to next week when we have @bishopnorwich.bsky.social joining us for confirmations and cake!
It was very much worth wrapping up warm this morning for a trip to Hickling Broad. One of Norfolk Wildlife Trust's amazing people showed us how to spot various trails and tracks that animals leave behind.

Right with a mass migration seemingly starting from Twitter to here....this is my attempt at a Diocese of Norwich starter pack...
Let me know those I have invariably missed!

BlueSky is getting busier!
Espescially love seeing @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social @ianbishop.bsky.social @bishopoflynn.bsky.social & @bishopnorwich.bsky.social make the move over from Twitter.
If you want to know more about what is happening in Norfolk (and Waveney!) give them a follow & say hello!
This from @stephenkb.bsky.social in today's Inside politics is going to haunt/challenge/inspire me for a long time:
"There is a lot of ink spilled about politicians and their principles and I just think, ultimately, your principles are what you do."
I remember Macbeth, Great Expectations, An inspector Calls, Jane Eyre and Of Mice and Men...plus what felt like an awful lot of Chaucer
I don't think I particularly enjoyed any of them at the time but was deeply impacted by the endings of both an Inspector Calls and Of Mice and Men
A Little Owl perches on a branch, one talon raised defensively mid-air as if swiping at something unseen. Its wings are spread wide in a flurry of spotted feathers, and its sharp yellow eyes glare with fierce determinationβready to bat away any incoming intrusions. The pose perfectly embodies the fight to keep work at bay... a small but mighty force holding its ground.
Me - fending off all meeting requests and emails until 2025
