Watched a video yesterday where a dude tested comparing his multi-hundred dollar green screen setup against a $1 green table cloth from Dollar Tree ... And found almost no difference in the output.

So i appreciate the cheap ideas!

Does anyone own a green screen that they'd recommend? One that isn't "omg, how much?!?"? I'll mostly be using it to put myself into my art sometimes for stupid jokes.

Hard agree on the muscle memory thing, even just from the previous versions. There are changes that don't really make any sense, for any practical reason, that keep throwing me off.

And I've been using Designer since V1 and i still can't tell you wtf the point of an art board is, really.

I'm still getting used to V3 and having everything under one roof. I've been using it since v1 and was a big fan of v2, the entire suite. Having all 3 (photo, designer, publisher) totally integrated is great but the UI takes getting used to.

Thank you! Doing a tutorial series on using Affinity to make art. A book project seemed to be an interesting way to showcase a lot of different techniques and the uses of the software.

The hardest parts of having a pet is the responsibility of knowing when it's time to let go. My good gal Friday was nearly 15 and her bad days were outnumbering her good ones. We tried to make her last day as good as possible. I wish she could have stayed forever and I will miss her terribly.

This was the piece. It's one of about 10 different lighting variations I'm working on, using a single base 3D model.

I ran this test because i kept seeing art that i was *certain* wasn't AI failing these tests. So i was like "let me try something i know 100% for a fact isn't AI."

Absolutely insane.

I decided to do an "Is it AI?" test with one of my 3D pieces. And it failed.

One of my base characters that i built in Daz, that i painted in Affinity, was analyzed and determined to be "92% Confidently AI. 86% Probability made in Midjourney."

Do not trust these fucking things

r/isitAI is one of the most insane subreddits. I'm convinced only like 3% of people there are actual artists. I see people insisting that shit is AI because of things I was doing my first year of art school. Saw someone say "it's AI because why fully render this??" and it's literally line art.

Because police have spent decades building towards this, on purpose. They love that we all view them as a life-or-death threat. They want us to be terrified of them, because they crave that emotional power.

People need to stop acting like Cops are different than ICE. They aren't. It's all the same

They know they can do whatever they want with impunity.

None of this is AI or filters. All of this is done directly in Affinity. The biggest struggle so far is hair, but I'm working on it.

It's still not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot less gross looking than those toon or line art filters already.

Awhile back, I went on a rant about "3D line art" tutorials, how they always use those god awful "toon" filters in post that make your art look dirty and gross. So, I've been working on a new workflow for to convert 3D art to line art. This is *still* in-progress. #daz3dstudio #3dart

It's all abuse tactics with these people. "I'm going to beat the shit out of you because you didn't reward me for how peaceful i am. This is your fault. You made me do this."

Like people just keep forcing them to be evil by not immediately giving in to their evil.
