What is something you were taught to believe about gender that you no longer accept?

Recognising the plurality of gender identities means acknowledging reality.

What is a violent gesture or phrase you’ve often seen excused with the words “it was just a joke”?

To speak about gender-based violence is to recognise it as a systemic and structural phenomenon, not as a private incident or isolated event.

Such violence is perpetuated by patriarchal cultural structures that tend to justify, minimise, or render it invisible.

It manifests in physical, verbal, psychological, economic, and institutional forms.

Also, it disproportionately targets individuals who do not conform to dominant gender norms.

Gender-based violence remains an under-addressed issue.

It is pervasive, embedded in everyday life, and frequently normalised.
