yk.honeybee a The Department of Education really sat in a room and decided nursing, counseling, and social work aren't "professional degrees" anymore. During a national shortage. After a whole pandemic. In fields run mostly by women and minorities. But theology is considered a "professional degree".... Make it make sense.

This is really the point around the "professional" removal- its in regards to student loans. Its very specific to this and it caps what you can borrow. I think Republicans are pissed at the fact there are plenty of folks in these professions who didnt come from privilege and shake up the system.
