Filmmaker/creator/writer/director/producer CEO of Pier Left Productions I saw a horse in person once. It was kinda cool, I guess.

Then this week Trump signed an executive order that forces all men to be recognized as technically a trans man.
Quite the Shyamalan twist!
Personally, my heart is full.
Professionally, my heart is hopeful.
Politically, my heart is heavy.
Welcome to this great place!

20.11.2024 23:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Horatioβs mind wandered again as he drove home.
The chief had refused to say more & seemed offended when Horatio offered a bribe.
Then when he offered more the convo turned into arguing how Kohlβs Cash isnβt the same as cash.
Of COURSE itβs the sameβ¦for the next 3 days.

This information was a lot to take in at once, but on the other hand it was the right amount.
Something nefarious happened here tonight. Insidious.
βArson,β the chief blurted.
Is he a mind reader? Or was I thinking out loud again?
βYou were thinking out loud.β
Dammit.
#dsn
The chief gave him the side eye. βNah, you should be fine. Unless you also heat up all your silverware in your toaster.β
βI do not.β
βAnd fill your kitchen outlets with lighter fluid.β
βNot lately.β
βAnd cut the gas line of your stove.β
βIβ¦uhβ¦wow all 3?β
βAll 3.β

βWhat happened here?β
βThe house burned down,β the chief replied.
*sigh*
βThat would explain the carcinogens in the air,β Horatio responded dryly.
The chief looked at him. βWhoβre you?β
βA..concerned neighbor worried my house is next since we had the same electrician.β
#dsn
Horatio walked up to who he assumed was the chief. The man had distinguished gray hair, dressed better than the rest, and had a pot belly that implied if he tried the physical activities the other firefighters did - all of which looked straight out of a calendar - heβd die.
#dsn
Horatio got out of his car and walked up to a firefighter.
βWhat happened here?β he asked.
βA fire,β the firefighter responded.
As much as Horatio wanted to continue this mentally stimulating meeting of the minds, he felt he might get more clarity if he found the chief.
#dsn
Horatioβs eyes widened. The last time he saw this house it was more immaculate and way less a pile of ashes.
Firefighters walked to their respective fire trucks looking weary and exhausted.
What had happened here today?
Was this an accidental tragedy?
What had Stu done?
#dsn
Horatio drove out of the trailer park community, deep in his own thoughts.
Could the enigma named Stu just be a man overcompensating?
Snapping back to reality, Horatio realized he had mindlessly driven back to the house Stu previously entered.
It was burned to the ground.
#dsn
Horatio finally understood Stu.
Or so he thought.
For a brief time Horatio felt compassion for a man whose outward persona seemed to be an attempt to manifest a destiny greater than he was.
Something Horatio knew nothing about, of course, cuz he was born a winner at life.
#dsn
Yet again Horatio followed Stu as he drove across town.
As the sun came down Stu pulled into the Platinum Pines mobile home community and parked in a double wide that had a sign that read βCEO PARKINGβ hung above the parking spot awning.
Stu got out and entered his abode.

A quick view of his nanny camβs phone app - Leroy has hypervitaminosis D so he needs to check on him occasionally - relieved his mind that he did not, in fact, leave the oven on.
So now he had to wait.
And he did. And then more. And then more.
3 hours later Stu emerged.
#dsn
Why would Stu lie about where he was?
Horatio KNEW Stu was not to be trusted, but itβs a whole other story when gut knowing something turns into confirmed knowing.
So what was he hiding?
What was he about?
Did Horatio leave his stove on?
All questions demanded answers.
#dsn
βOh hey, Horatio! How are you?β Stu replied. βHowβs the girlfriend?β
Stuβs voice inflection indicated he knew Horatio lied.
Horatio cringed, βAnyways. I called to see if you wanted to get that coffee. Meet in an hour?β
βDarn it, I canβt. Iβm at my dentist.β
Interesting.
#dsn
Horatio pulled out Stuβs card and - after taking a deep breath - dialed the number.
Stu picked up. βHello?β
βHey, stranger,β Horatio winced at his lame opener. Why did this guy throw him off?
βUhh hey. Do I know you?β
βItβs Horatio. We met at Target?β
There was a pause.
#dsn
After an hour drive - including a stop at McDonaldβs drive thru for a small coffee - Stu parked in a driveway.
Horatio pulled over a block away.
Stu got out of his car and a woman opened the houseβs front door to embrace him. He entered the house.
Horatio had an idea.
#dsn
Horatio waited for Stu to get into his car, counted to 8 Mississippi, and drove off to tail this mysterious man.
As he followed discreetly he wondered again why this man was so intriguing.
He hadnβt been this captivated since he was gifted his first Lyle Lovett poster.
#dsn
Knowing Stu was in his place of work, Horatio briefly considered dashing away for a minute to get more snacks, kicking himself for not pacing his eating, but then decided not to leave his post.
It was a good thing he made that decision, as Stu walked out 5 minutes later.
#dsn
Like a gazelle magnificently emerging from the plains with the sunrise to its back, Stu rose from the driverβs side of his car - a Tesla - parked on the street & walked down the sidewalk towards Horatio.
Horatio quickly ducked down in his seat.
Stu walked into the office.
