06.03.2026 23:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes itβs possible this all works out. And itβs quite possible this situation exists because the parties involved believed in 2024 that kicking this down the road would allow for a deal to make it all go away.
06.03.2026 12:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I donβt blame him on 2 events being determined. My guess is this would be ultimately consulted as with the others. Ask Norman or Els about what was required when exceeding their allotted releases. Itβs why Ernie routinely played 20 a year on pga tour or why Greg would show up in Milwaukee

Rory on Rahm: deal offered was βgenerousβ

He was also given an opportunity to move on from this with LIV paying the previous fines. And admitted heβd have taken the deal were it not being required to add the 2 events.

Jon Rahm speaks. He rejected DPWT deal over having to play 2 extra events.

Are you insisting on being pedantic, John? Theyβd also incur suspensions. And theyβd be responsible for the fines which no matter how much money they make are not insignificant . Now they donβt have to worry about it.
28.02.2026 02:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The βothersβ who arenβt in the majors are the issue and might want to play more and this agreement is allowing them to do that without any hassles. That is the point I was making. Is that a problem, too?
28.02.2026 01:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It was a planted talking point early on that was woefully pathetic.
28.02.2026 01:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And letβs be honest, the βwant to play lessβ talking point was ill advised. Some like DJ fit that. But not many
27.02.2026 21:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The others also just might want to play more than 13 events a year and donβt want to deal with the hassles of being suspended and fined. They have now avoided that.
27.02.2026 21:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thatβs the advantage he has. Nobody said he has to play the DPWT if he doesnβt want to. Thatβs his choice
27.02.2026 21:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That is correct. He did not play enough events. Since he is not a member he was not offered the deal the 8 accepted. Same for Sergio

23.02.2026 22:08 β π 11 π 3 π¬ 2 π 0Niemann needs OWGR and he doesnβt appear to have agreed to this either. With success on LIV they will be fine and itβs only the Ryder cup that is an issue for Rahm. Perhaps he can live without it at this point and they can certainly win it without him.
23.02.2026 12:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That was one of the best Team Canada performances I have ever seen, except they could not score. Column from a gold medal game that hurt, in every way. www.thestar.com/sports/olymp...

22.02.2026 17:05 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Yes it is. But bottom line is all the players allowed back have paid their fines. They were never going to waive them. Why they allowed an appeal is obvious but the bottom line is these other guys want to play. Now they donβt have to worry about it this year. Meanwhile Rahm accumulates more fines
22.02.2026 16:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0He knew the rules when he left for LIV Golf and it was barely 6 months after the arbitration panel had ruled the DPWT had the right to enforce rules and levy fines. Whether he was going to play this events or not, release was required to skip them. By not getting a release he was in violation.
