@embl.org at its best: collaborative, open, transformative, and just the right amount of crazy. Dreaming of mechanistic cell biology *in the natural environment*? Dream no more, rent the AML.

Together with @carobarisch.bsky.social lab, we investigated how intracellular compartmentalization shapes lipid acquisition in mycobacteria

Interestingly, deleting one FACL enzyme (FACL6) revealed striking compartment-dependent phenotypes πŸ”¬

Brain with puzzle overlay to show that our study provides missing pieces of the puzzle of human brain development by delivering the most comprehensive picture of hindbrain development to date. We have strived to go beyond just another multi-omics atlas to gain deep insights by:
1. Meticulously annotating cell clusters
2. Extracting regulatory programs in terms of coordinated gene sets and accessible regulatory elements
3. Using deep learning to identify regulatory syntax
4. Resolving context-specific TF activity

New preprint from the lab πŸŽ‰: Ξ³-tubulin is a novel target of the tubulin autoregulation pathway! Previously thought to exclusively target Ξ±- and Ξ²-tubulin mRNAs, we show that the TTC5–SCAPER–CNOT11 axis also degrades Ξ³-tubulin mRNA, expanding the scope of this fundamental regulatory mechanism.
