We (Democrats, liberals, etc) like to believe we'll get through this OK because whether we acknowledge it or not we have the "American exceptionalism" bug too. We grew up with it. We got through the Cold War, 9/11, the 2009 collapse, Covid, even January 6.

Democrats need to start calling for mass protests and strikes to establish a basis for removal. We are on a path to fiscal ruination and suffering rivaling the Great Depression. Democrats need to tell the American people this and call for mass mobilization.
