Here's a small peek behind the curtain of 3D production - showing the various notes I give myself to keep improving Sunspark. If you're curious!

Huge shout out to @rndr.bsky.social! Each one of these 454 frames would have taken an hour to render on my PC with multiple 3090s! On the Render Network it's only taken a fraction of the time. 🤯 And this is just one of 150+ shots for my short film Sunspark.

I made 2 distinct piles so not every single pile is the same. Then from those 2 piles I made the rest as instances of the original two. Instances are less resource-heavy for C4D to think about. But even with this trick, navigating the scene does become laggy unless I turn them off.

Yeah, Flow used Blender as their 3D program which comes with a render engine called Eevee. I'm using Cinema 4D along with a third-party render engine called Octane.

Introducing my short film Sunspark! A stop-motion style 3D animation that tells the story of a lonely robot who finds companionship in the unlikeliest of places. Hopefully to be finished in 2025!
