But man I am trapped in a mental countdown to the anniversary of my grandpa passing. I’ve never had this happen before. Every day, I’m like “11 more days. 10 more days.” Today is 9 more days. I don’t have anything planned but it is so heavy on my heart and mind. Grief is the WEIRDEST thing.

I’m not big on holidays, my birthday, that kind of stuff. I never really was but it’s way more true now with Long COVID. It takes every ounce of energy I have to complete my bare minimum daily tasks. I can cook dinner and do my part-time job or I can execute a birthday cake/card situation. Not both.

Susan Levine at NYU is the doc who diagnosed me. She's a Dysautonomia specialist. Last I heard, she was not accepting new patients because of so many Long COVID cases. I've had great luck with Westside Family Medicine's Brooklyn team for just trying treatments with me. V. queer/trans friendly!
