blows my mind watching people slither into hardcore/punk spaces under the impression that hardcore/punk is in any way, shape or form “apolitical” or tolerant of fascism and its propagandists.

It’s something I never fathomed seeing in my lifetime. Something I was told the world had long progressed past.

Every damn day for the past two years (let alone the previous seventy-five) the world has watched Israel commit atrocity after atrocity while their own soldiers celebrate it and document their own crimes.

Ah yes.. bombing civilians is self defense, bombing hospitals is self defense, schools, refugee camps, water treatment facilities, ambulances, entire civilian infrastructure, UNWRA aid trucks, ships providing aid to starving Palestinians, journalists…

Shut up, man. The world sees your lies.

Palestinian suffering should NOT be a “touchy subject” to you. If you have ANY humanity you would agree that what we’re seeing is a crime against humanity. If it were your children, your friends and your loved ones being slaughtered and punched down on, you would be whistling a different tune.

While you’re distracted by today’s news cycle of the returning to earth, more US shells are being used to punch down on oppressed people.

Most viable career paths right now:
-Police goon
-Tech fraudster
-Health care crank
-Regime propagandist
-Dentist (unrelated to the others, it just pays well)

Stop falling into the endless "lesser evil" loop and go out organize, community build and create the possibility of a system that isn't a fascist, capitalist terror-state that shovels money into their murderous rampages while it's people can barely afford to exist. Stop being so fucking stagnant.

You will absolutely NOT see change in this country be achieved with the dems. They are a do-nothing party and they had a role in setting the stage for what we're seeing now. All performatives, no genuine desire for a better future. They care more about their wealth than your existence.

If you want to destroy fascism in this country, a big first step is realizing that an entire replacement of our current system is required and that includes the democratic and republican parties. We need true leadership that prioritizes people over profit and doesn't terrorize the world around it.
