An explosion in Nicetown blew out her rowhouse’s front windows. Then her landlord ghosted her. Tawanda Davis has repeatedly asked her landlord to repair her windows, but he has kept them boarded up and gone radio silent.

So much talk about phantom street crime but so little discussion of inarguably evil shit like a landlord forcing a grandmother and her five grandkids to live with boarded up windows or make a move they can't afford.

BREAKING: U.S. layoffs have surged to their highest level since the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a DC resident I do feel that the city has been overrun by "violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals" and I would like them to leave the White House and stop destroying the federal government.

Tweet from Bill Melugin BREAKING: The FBI announces they've arrested Boston's sanctuary sheriff on federal extortion charges. Suffolk County, MA Sheriff Steven Tompkins was arrested by federal agents in Florida today for allegedly extorting $50,000 from the owner of a national cannabis retailer wanting to do business in Boston. Sheriff Tompkins kicked ICE out of his jails in 2019.

The sheriff of Suffolk County has been indicted by the DOJ for alleged extortion. The right is touting this as a successful indictment of a "sanctuary sheriff." I am sure it's a coincidence he's Black.
