The thing is, WebMD is a great tool for getting things started on the road for treatment. Most people who use WebMD will probably follow up with a doctor.
The ones who are advocating for AI in this way also seem to want to avoid doctors anyways.

I firmly believe it's also because it's an instant result. Why waste a couple hours at your doctor when you can just type a couple words and get instant results!

Because it's instant gratification.
No need to wait for a doctor's appointment and pointless things like lab tests and CT scans.
