Florida Tech associate professor Andrew Palmer is joining a new, NASA-funded space agriculture initiative based at Winston-Salem State University. Through this collaboration, his research team will help test bioleaching as a method for harvesting nutrients found in regolith.

Florida Tech researchers and community partners recently created a native prairie at Stone Magnet Middle School. With over 200 plants added, the space will help reduce flooding, attract pollinators, and provide a hands-on learning opportunity for students.
