After 2 weeks off we got back to parkrunning yesterday. This is the 1st time Valentines Day was on a Saturday since 2015. We didn’t even know what parkrun was back then!
52 runners and walkers joined us along with 4 excellent barkrunners. 9 folks had their barcodes scanned for the very first time!

We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel parkrun again this week. The trails are too treacherous to proceed safely. We’ll still meet at FOKO for brunch at 9:00 so do meet us if you’re able. Otherwise we’ll see you next Saturday for Louisville’s favorite free (almost weekly) 5K

The sun shone on our 40 participants who took part in the 316th edition of Louisville’s favorite free weekly 5K this past Saturday. 4 parkrunners walked back up the hill with new personal bests, and 7 folks joined us for the first time.

Then 2 days later we held our first regular event of the year. 48 runners and walkers made the 2.5 lap circuit of Joe Creason and 8 of them had their barcodes scanned for the first time. We’ve had great luck with the weather and that looks to continue for Joe Creason 315 this Saturday 1/10 @ 8:45

On Thursday we kicked off 2026 with a special parkrun. 38 participants joined us and 9 of them were first-time parkrunners.

This Saturday we'll celebrate Hannah's 100th parkrun. She started her parkrun journey at Charleston WV parkrun back in Mar 2019, but is a Joe Creason parkrunner through and through. Bundle up and help us celebrate! Our bodies were made to move in all types of weather & yours is no exception!
