Like many other lovingly engineered drawing implements made in Japan, the line it produces is reliable and full of personality. It’s amazing that there are people in this world so wonderful as to invent a totally new type of dip nib. I’m still getting to know this one but already love it.

The Kakimori brass nib: shaped like a bullet with slits along the edges, its reservoir holds a considerable amount of liquid. You dip it in your ink and then may vary the width of your line on the page depending on your surface angle.
