We learn to survive before we can name it.
Understanding drips in quietly,
in glimmers of clarity,
until it finally finds language to hold it.

Relief, like a blanket, softens the anger.
And in the clarity of accepting what is,
I find freedom.

It took a while to understand what I was carrying.
Even longer to name it.

Some things don’t look like harm at first,
until they form patterns —
patterns that become clearer with time.

They show up as vigilance, wariness,
a body that feels unsafe
before the words are formed for why.

My biggest weakness is forgetting the context when listening to the details - in conversation, listening to a narrative or watching a film - reading is my preferred way to learn, and writing to communicate but its tiring sometimes. #Autistic #auditoryprocessing #verbalreasoning

Its my birthday today and I am already overwhelmed and sitting in bed 🫠 watching the snow outside which is really calming to watch 😅

It makes me cringe when supposed neurodiversity advocates bang on about the business case for neurodiversity to make us look more acceptable and appealing, so we can better fit into the dominant capitalist order, plus being 40% more productive. Like we are some sort of special offer 🙄

Oh wow another famous person opens up about their ADHD - its getting boring now - ordinary people have ADHD too. And about 10 times more are incarcerated

Today my priority task was filling out Access To Work forms.

But instead I organised an event for ND Leaders 🤩 #NDLeaders #Thefutureisnd

He ate a small amount of Gourmet then vomited it up on the carpet. How rude! I think he’s at that stage when he needs all the expensive hypoallergenic stuff 🙄

My cat is making it known that he no longer likes the cat food I have been feeding him for the past 6 months 🤣
