This was the first thing I ever found so funny I had to rewind and rewatch it like 5 times before I could continue the movie.

The actors and directors names aren’t generally bigger than the title on the movie poster either but they are there and they are fairly prominent.

Oh, indeed. Don't mind if I do.

I would watch a Tarantino movie based solely on this note.

The AI thing really moved the bar for me on this. Even "bad" art oozes charm when there are people typing pictures.

I'm not doing an AI headshot on Linkedin until there's a specific setting to make me look sluttier. Period.

God this is so good.

For sure, and I still took a few to the hips/legs/fingers/neck now and then that got through. Those kids get to the point they can throw really fast but the aim isn't there. Most of the catchers are dreadfully under-skilled for how fast the pitches can come in.

This was in addition to worn pads and other "miscellaneous protection". I was pretty much iron man out there plus a shield.

I umped for little league and I literally never went out there without a giant arm-held foam shield that covers the entire torso. The pitchers are children, the catchers are children, and the kids swinging an aluminum stick around are children. You're in the line of fire more often than not.

My 17 year old kid and his friends all bought watches today. Not smartwatches, old-style quartz ass 3 handers. Something weird is happening with tech and consumers.

It IS weird. Super weird to vote for the women both times and find out enough people decided no thanks you're overruled. Threw me both times. My thumb, not on the pulse.

Gotta love those perfectly spaced samey sausage wrinkles on the sleeve.

Totally. And just less art and less varied art. I'm 41 working on some of my first comics work because I grew up fairly poor and had to fix that first. We're finding new and innovative ways to financially bankrupt creativity as though it wasn't already pretty effing broke.

I'm seeing this too. If your MO is grinding creators to a fine pulp by juicing them as dry as possible you tend not to care which juicer you use so long as it gets the job done.

But I'll definitely admit it's all puffing up the bad guys to stack the odds against the often clever pulling out of the win by the heroes and it's effective in doing that.

No for sure, tongue was pretty much fully in cheek there. I do think it's funny how much, despite your point being true, they *talk* about who's stronger and by exactly how much and have actual numbers in DBZ's case.

Don't take this as a tried and true thing from a veteran more like "how I'm surviving the most recent 8 of the like 20 pages I've ever done" from a rookie. Comics R hard.

Yes layouts are like "what's my main panel?" and then shorthand design the page around that with circles everywhere that rep balloons. Then letter that rough layout which usually tells me some of my circles weren't big enough. Then shimmy drawings shimmy balloons draw draw draw redraw, assemble.

...And then of course rewrite half the dialog and shuffle everything around 30 times anyway.

I probably would too just to start with the those puzzle pieces on the table but I'm lettering digitally, drawing traditionally and assembling digitally in a different app than I letter in so it's not all on the same table. Makes it easier to have some kind of shape foundation first and letter it.

Totally. This was the best thing I figured out. If you're doing it yourself go roughs, letter, then draw then at least all the ways you find to screw yourself are new and interesting 😂

Aliens in 1999 watching us Y2K: Ok, they could probably trust their computer systems more than *that*.

Aliens in 2025 watching us AI: Damn, over-correct much?
