* to say that he doesnt have any potential compared to his father because he does.
04.12.2024 15:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0its ironic i think for him to say that because he doesn't have potential compared to his father. He knows how to help and take care of his family which is more than he's ever done for them, and boy's still young ofc so he has more than the time. #bsuwlit
04.12.2024 15:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0saw that coming, his dad is such a loser unfortunately, I hope Boy realizes this soon, though it seems like he slowly has been seeing it. #Bsuwlit
04.12.2024 15:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0he better not leave that money with that goat its gonna get eaten or something terrible π so scared for him and concerned about how he's gonna act with his father seemingly gone for now #bsuwlit
04.12.2024 15:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm waiting for the business with the weed to blow up in their faces, I feel like someone's going To notice it's gone missing and someone's going to have to pay for it. #bsuwlit
04.12.2024 15:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's sad seeing how Boy is clearly trying to take after his father since he looks up to him so much, he has such an idealized version of this man cause he's never actually met him until now and seeing how its impacting him is depressing. #bsuwlit
02.12.2024 15:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0im really scared about their dad, he has high expectations for his father but theres obviously a lot off with him. Also seeing a lot of troubling symbolism being used with him, like all the signs of demons being related to him such as the horns from the chair, and the demon in the sparkler. #bsuwlit
02.12.2024 15:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Seeing how vibrant their mother's grave is compared to the rest of the graves in the graveyard is both very sweet and very sad. It seems she was deeply loved and respected by this family, and Rocky showing those pictures to her was also very cute and sad. #bsuwlit
02.12.2024 15:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I already really like this kid; this is a fun start to the movie. This family looks interesting. I think the contrast that's being set up here of this childlike lens boy has to view his life and what's seeming to be the reality is also curious so far. #bsuwlit
02.12.2024 15:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I would recommend Zahra's Paradise and the Lieutenant of Inishmore, I don't think I would sell those back if I had purchased the materials in paper instead of online. #bsuwlit
22.11.2024 15:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Mendhi's confirmed death is obviously very saddening, especially after seeing the lengths his family went through to locate him. You build hope as you read, due in part to how confident his mother seems in the fact that he has to be out there somewhere, and the reveal becomes crushing. #bsuwlit
20.11.2024 15:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0me when i get in late after our dorm elevator was busted and didn't see we had bluesky today... #bsuwlit
18.11.2024 15:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I like the pulled quote here; I thought this was also an intriguing point as well in regards to this play. #bsuwlit
15.11.2024 15:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This panel was really saddening to me especially, with the present conversation overlayed with all those missing people to put into perspective how many folks were lost to these events by their corrupt government. #bsuwlit
13.11.2024 15:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's sad reading things like this novel because despite their dates and being published years before it's still easy to relate these events to current events. This book wasn't released a long time ago, but you would still hope in the time since then things would have changed for the better. #bsuwlit
11.11.2024 15:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0they fail to capture the full reality of a situation, so when you get ones like this, its just very impressive to me. (2) #bsuwlit
08.11.2024 15:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Graphic novels like this always impress me because they require a good amount of skill, not just in terms of the art style but also in terms of how well the art relays all the little details you usually get in reading. Comics are good for giving more visualization, but sometimes (1)
08.11.2024 15:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1This play was different from the majority I have seen, but overall I liked it despite some of its shocking moments. It was genuinely humorous in some parts, and honestly, I wonder what it would be like to see live due to some of the more graphic content. #bsuwlit
04.11.2024 15:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Crazy opening to start with, someone else already pointed it out but it seems to be a reoccurring thing between McDonaghs work to use animal violence. It works well in catching the reader off guard, but its still a bit jarring to see. #bsuwlit

I think itβs interesting to see the similarity that McDonagh has with this and βSix Shooter.β Specifically the animal violence. And I think itβs also thought provoking that we typically see Irish characters be predominantly violent and portrayed as psychotic.
is he about take himself out cause that's what this feels like its setting up for :( #bsuwlit
28.10.2024 14:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I had a feeling this guy had guns on him, did not expect it to play out like this though. #bsuwlit
28.10.2024 14:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0OH MY GOD. I knew when she looked at him like that after she was cooked because there was no way she was going to let that slide. #Bsuwlit
28.10.2024 14:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm not sure how I feel about the guy on the train, he was silly at first but now things are getting heated and I'm getting a bit scared for him. #bsuwlit

"Rings of Fire" -Craig Santos Perez
The idea of living a normal life as if the world isn't burning around us is something that is felt worldwide.
βPray for us- because our costumes wonβt hide the true cost of our greedβ I love this because with age I have realized the waste from Halloween and I even try to minimize this waste but it feels like itβll never be enough

"...praise his mother, Ocean, who is dying in a warming bath among dead fish and refugee children." This poem in particular was sad and a harsh truth about the reality of the actual climate we are all living in, and its very scary and depressing, but beautifully put together. #bsuwlit
25.10.2024 14:11 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0even though it's a bit of grim subject matter. It's impressive to me how someone can make something like that sound so peaceful, because that's how it read to me. Like it was natural, this whole process, and calming to this corpse. (2) #bsuwlit
23.10.2024 14:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bog Queen was an interesting read to me because I've heard about all the bodies in bogs before and how dangerous bogs can be, but the description given for that poem and how the decomposition of the body described was honestly beautiful and a bit disturbing, something I found cool (1)
